Putting the Human back into Human Resources: A Closer Look at Automation vs. the Personal Touch. Also: Flexible Working Arrangements and the Trust Factor  

In this session, Part 1, members have the opportunity to join in consulting each other on their top of mind challenges. Some recent top-of-mind topics for possible discussion are:
– Ageism in Singapore and internationally
– Mental health
– Training & developing your employees while working remotely

This is your opportunity to get new insights, ideas and solutions on your challenges.

In Part 2a: We will explore the challenges HR professionals face in striking the right balance in automating processes in the employee life-cycle vs personally engaging and interacting with the workforce. Is working remotely compounding this personal touch? Is it hindering your ability to interact effectively with people? Does the employee feel disconnected? EGN member, Jocelyn Chan, HR Director for Aspial Corp Ltd., kicks us off with some great initiatives with marketing and design thinking concepts to craft an exceptional employee journey.

In Part 2b: We will also address the challenges faced with the Flexible Working arrangement many organizations have adopted. Are leaders policing and micromanaging their employees too much? Do Managers trust their people while working from home? Do employees feel guilty, so they make themselves available at all hours of the day? EGN member, Manju Kohli, HR Director for United World College of South-East Asia, will share with us her challenges and ideas for dealing with these issues.

COVID-19 Government Regulations for in person meeting:
– Safe Entry QR Code upon entry and registration.
– Mandatory temperature taking (Guests with a temperature more than >37.5° will be turned away).
– Face masks must be worn at all times.
– Maintain at least a 1m distance between yourself and others.
– If groups are used, then no more than 5 people per group with strictly no intermingling among other groups will apply.
